Police are investigating a burglary Tuesday at a clothing store in Kainaliu.

At 2:23 a.m. Tuesday, Kona Patrol officers responded to Oshima Surf at 79-7400 Mamalahoa Highway. Someone from a nearby business reported hearing suspicious sounds from the store and then seeing a dark Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driving away northbound on the highway.

Police found evidence of a forcible break-in and reviewed surveillance video, which showed four persons with their faces obscured grabbing clothing before exiting the store. The stolen items are described as bikinis, blouses, rash guards and other surf brand attire.
